The process includes melting glass with a blowtorch\, shaping it into a ball on a small glass stick (punt)\, spinning it to round it\, using graphite molds\, adding colored glass dots for patterns\, and cooling it in a controlled oven. Guides often explain the details\, such as the “mark” left where the marble is removed from the punty\, and the high temperatures involved (up to 2000°F during shaping)  \nMarble Games & SkillsAfter the making demonstration\, participants learn to play traditional marbles. Older kids are taught the “knuckle down” technique\, while younger ones try a “soccer kick” to move marbles into the center. The guide explains scoring\, lingo like “fudging” (going over the line) and “histing” (lifting the knuckle)\, and lets everyone try their hand at shooting. \nDeadline to register and pay for this field trip is August 21\, 2026.  No exceptions.  If your payment is not received by the deadline\, your name will be removed from the registration list and you will not attend the field trip.
