FT: Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium

Description: Join fellow LCA families at the Kansas City Zoo and Aquarium for Homeschool days on Monday, October 14th, at 9:30am. Meet-Up with other homeschool families at the Tropics Event Pavilion from 11am-1pm, where students can learn about some of the Kansas City Zoo’s Conservation Projects which support our environment and animals around the globe. Zoo educators will facilitate encounters that include biofacts about various animals. These encounters are designed to be “touch and go.” Please plan on attending our more in-depth animal chats throughout your day. Plus, grab a scavenger hunt to help you make the most of your Zoo learning experience.
The cost of the field trip will be $11.00 per person (children 2 and under are free).
40 person limit
Arrival: Plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time to allow for parking and check-in.
Lunch: Feel free to bring your lunch and fellowship with LCA families
Ages: Open to all ages
Admission Fees: Ages 3 and up: $11.00. Infants (age 3 and under): Free
Extras such as tram, carousel, train etc. are not included in the price and can be purchased separately at the zoo.
Limited space available for 40 individuals.
Zoo members: Please register so we know you are coming, but you do not need to purchase tickets. Additionally, you are not required to enter with the rest of us as a group.
Deadline: The deadline to register AND pay for this FT is October 7th
Commitment: Your online registration is your 100% commitment to attend the field trip. Venues staff according to the number of people we tell them are coming. Thank you for respecting the venue and helping maintain LCA’s good reputation in the community. Unless you have an illness or emergency, we will see you there!
