FT Mule Berry Barn Farms

Ages:  all ages
Cost:  $3.00 each, ALL ages, including infants, paid in advance
            PLUS the cost of any berries you pick, pay on site
Strawberries $2.00 / lb
Blackberries $4.00 / lb
Raspberries $6.00 / lb
B Grade blackberries (jam/pie fruit) $10 / 3 lb bag
C Grade blackberries (juicing/jelly) $5 / 3 lb bag
C grade fruit is not texturally suitable to eat straight up.  You must juice it.  
If you need containers the farm has them, but it is $0.25 per pound more.

INCLEMENT WEATHER:
 IF IT IS RAINING THE DAY OF THE FIELD TRIP, MULE BARN BERRIES WILL BE CLOSED.  LCA DOES NOT ISSUE REFUNDS.  PLEASE REGISTER RESPONSIBLY.

Tour:  1 1/2 hour tours divided into 10 minute stations/topics . We will taste jelly and fresh or frozen berries (depending on the time of year) at the end.

Topics will vary a little with the time of year and what is going on at the farm, but basically the berries, the bees, and the bugs (good and bad) will always be topics. Pruning, picking, planting, irrigation, food safety regulations and issues, the high tunnel, and equipment are all possible topics.

Following the tour, families are welcome to stay and pick berries.  Weather dependent, strawberries should be in season.
