Age: I was an adult when I read the book the first time, and I thought it was HILARIOUS.
Mind you, the fact that it is a “puppet show” may not appeal to the older crowd of students.
My opinion is that kids up through 4th grade will still think it’s “cool”. The man I spoke with at the studio agreed.
However — you know your own kiddos! So it’s totally up to you.

Adapted from the wildly popular book by Jon Scieszka and Lane Smith, this rip-roaring fairy-tale adventure is loads of fun for all ages. You’ll have fun with Jack, the narrator, as he takes you through the twists and turns of this wacky tale, which contains zany versions of storybook classics! If you’ve never read the book, it can be found at the Jo Co Library. It won a Caldecott Medal.
The show will be more enjoyable if you read the book a time or two first.
